We use Arrowroot in some of our products, which is a natural plant starch used as a thickening agent unlike other chutneys & sauces which use flour based or artificial thickeners

Sudan I is a red dye that is used for colouring solvents, oils, waxes, petrol,
and shoe and floor polishes. It is not allowed to be added to food in the UK and
the rest of the EU. However, inadvertent contamination of some food products has
been uncovered. What is the health risk of Sudan I? Sudan I could contribute to an increased risk of cancer and it is not
possible to identify a safe level or to quantify the risk. However the risk is
likely to be very small Are any of the products sold on your webpage affected? NONE of the products sold by Goan
Delights are affected by Sudan I. At no time have we imported directly or
indirectly from the companies effected. All of our products have been cleared
